Gholamrezaei Elected Iran Chess Chief

TEHRAN -- Ali-Asghar Gholamrezaei on Saturday was elected as the new president of Iran's Chess Federation.
In an extraordinary assembly of ICF on June 21, Gholamrezaei won 20 votes out of 39 and was announced the successor to Mohammad-Ja'far Kambouzia who had resigned from his post, reported IRNA.
Fourteen nominees had announced their willingness for the vacant post. Ten voted for candidate Rouhollah Alami and nine for Hassan Ramezanpour.
